On Sunday, May 24, 2020, the Rev. Rosenau compares the COVID-19 trials of today to what the early Christians were facing after Jesus ascended into Heaven. They were facing persecution, insults and suffering, not to mention feelings of anger, anxiety and uncertainty. Peter sought to provide hope to these Christians by writing them these words, “Humble yourselves under God’s mighty hand that he may lift you up in due time.” (1 Peter 5)
