Rest for life

Sunday, Jan. 31, 2021’s sermon wraps up the Family for Life series with Rest for Life. Often when we think of rest, we think of physical rest first.  Pastor Eric talks about the holy view of rest that starts with a relationship with Christ. The Bible tells us in Genesis 2: 3 that in the beginning, God created the world in six days and on the seventh day, he rested. But it wasn’t physical, it was holy: a gift for our whole lives.

We’re celebrating a new year and a new season at River of Life by introducing you to our new pastor. Pastor Eric Wenger and his family have moved to Omaha from Green Bay, Wisconsin. Prior to River of Life, Pastor Eric was the senior pastor of Raized Lutheran Church since 2016. He kicks off the new year and his first sermon series focusing on what it means, what we can learn and how we can grow as a “Family for Life.”
