“So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.” Romans 10:17
I was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, graduating from Concordia in St. Paul where I served as a director of Christian education (DCE) for six and one-half years, first at Trinity Lutheran Church, in Casa Grande, Arizona, and then at Immanuel Lutheran church in Elmhurst, Illinois. I also was privileged to serve God overseas in Taiwan as a missionary and English as a second language (ESL) teacher at Concordia Middle School in Chia Yi, Taiwan, for seven years. Following my time in Taiwan, I married his wife, Anna. Together we have three children ages nine, seven and six years old. I attended Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and completed my vicarage at First Lutheran church in Placerville, California, where I received my first call as a pastor and served for almost seven years.
In May of 2022, I began serving at River of Life Lutheran Church.
I have a love and a passion for teaching and preaching Christ crucified for the forgiveness of our sins and Word and sacrament ministry. I also have a passion for the city and ministry in the city, especially to those who are hurting and in great need.
My family and I are excited to be here in Omaha and serve God, the people of River of Life and the community around River of Life.
In my free time I am a bit of a sports nut, passionately cheering for the Chicago Cubs, Notre Dame football, the Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Bulls.
